Executive Summary
F1RST offers its residents a unique living experience that embraces the building’s proximity to Nationals Park and offers an expansive amenities package to complement the development’s upscale urban vibe.
While many new buildings offer rooftop pools, F1RST’s roof features a year-round heated pool and hot tub for residents to enjoy in any season. The space is equipped with multiple grills, a dining area, cabanas, and lounge areas that allow residents to relax and unwind while enjoying expansive views of the surrounding monuments, river, and ballpark.
The amenity package also includes spaces targeted towards F1RST’s four-legged residents, offering a dog park equipped with a grass-covered play area. Plants and greenery are incorporated throughout and residents are invited to contribute to a communal greens and herbs garden—bringing nature to the urban environment and contributing to the building’s sense of community.
Taking full advantage of the building’s location, the rooftop was designed to serve as the ultimate viewing deck for Nats fans. A large flatscreen television pairs with stadium-style seating overlooking home plate to give residents a multi-dimensional viewing experience. Since opening, F1RST has leveraged the rooftop’s visibility to become a part of the overall game experience for residents and ballpark fans alike—hanging clever banners from the roof that garner media coverage and have become a favorite for many fans. This interaction with the baseball community, supported by the building and rooftop’s design, has transitioned F1RST into a unique and active member of the Nats fan base.
